ASTROFÍSICA / REFLEJO DE NUESTRO COSMOS

Astrofísicos explican qué les hace creer que otro Universo "espejo" se esconde en el espacio-tiempo, la teoría de los dos conos tiene poco que ver con los efectos particulares registrados en la Tierra, sino que mira más allá del 'Big Bang' ...


Una reciente explicación científica del surgimiento de las partículas de alta energía sobre los glaciares de la Antártida, registrado en varias ocasiones entre los años 2016 y 2018, ha replanteado el tema de un 'universo paralelo'. Esta hipótesis fue presentada hace dos años en dos artículos en medio de la discusión en torno a la enigmática emisión de supestos neutrinos.
A pesar de los nuevos conocimientos acumulados y más conjeturas ofrecidas, los autores principales de los dos artículos del 2018 sobre el tema, de origen canadiense y estadounidense, insisten ahora en la vigencia de su teoría, la cual va mucho más lejos del caso particular antártico. Ambos han compartido sus visiones con el portal informativo Live Science.

El físico Latham Boyle, del Instituto Perimeter de Alberta, Canadá, y dos sus colegas, propusieron el concepto de un 'universo espejo', el reflejo de nuestro universo a través del espacio-tiempo. Ese equipo se atrevió a echar un vistazo al otro lado del fondo cósmico de microondas, que es lo más antiguo y distante que podemos ver en el espacio.


Allí estarían algunos eventos posteriores a la Gran Explosión (Big Bang) y la propia explosión, que generó la materia de la cual consistimos, pero no es el 'fin del trayecto', según Boyle. Aún más allá deberían extenderse partículas de carga opuesta a la que registramos aquí, y ellas forman otro universo en permanente expansión en otra dimensión del tiempo.

Boyle representa en forma de un cono esta retrospectiva de los objetos separados de nosotros por miles o miles de millones de años luz. Y este cono se reduce a un punto en el momento de la Gran Explosión, pero otro cono continúa las mismas líneas al otro lado, según su idea, algo que le parece "mucho más simple que la mayoría de las singularidades que surgen en la teoría de la gravedad de Einstein".
